Ann O’Neil has been a great support to me over the past months. When Ann was asked by Australian Story to do a follow up story on her, focusing on her work in trauma recovery and her organisation ‘Angel Hands’, the problem arose for Ann that she can’t talk about her ‘work’. Confidentiality means Ann will never discuss the impact her work has on supporting individuals. So I was asked if I would share about the impact she has had on me. My part in her story is small. My hope is that it says thank you. Thank you to Ann for holding my space, knowing what to say and when, for just knowing. I hope politicians, decision makers, everyone and anyone will see and hear her story and support her organisation ‘Angel Hands’. One thing is guaranteed, once you’ve met her, you will be changed, for the better.
